Yuvasathi Scheme: When studies are completed, and the search for a job begins, that’s the most difficult time. There are expectations and dreams at home, but empty pockets often erode confidence. Understanding this situation, the state government has launched the Yuvasathi Scheme.
This scheme will provide support for young people who want to work hard and move forward, but are currently facing financial pressure due to unemployment. This isn’t just financial assistance, but a reassurance that the government stands with them.
How much financial assistance will be provided under the Yuvasathi Scheme?
To put it simply, eligible youth will receive financial assistance of ₹1,500 per month under the Yuvasathi Scheme. This amount will be deposited directly into their bank accounts, eliminating any hassles or fear of middlemen. This assistance will be provided for a maximum of five years. That means ₹18,000 per year and a total of ₹90,000 over the five years.

This amount may not seem large, but it can prove to be very helpful in meeting daily expenses, preparing, and becoming self-reliant while searching for a job. The government has also clarified that this scheme will be reviewed after five years. If the beneficiary is still unemployed at that time and falls within the prescribed age limit, the government will decide whether to continue the assistance. This means that the scheme may be extended depending on the circumstances.
When will the Yuvasathi Scheme be implemented?
Initially, the government had stated that this scheme would be implemented in August, but later decided to extend it to April 1, 2026. The application process will begin in February 2026, giving young people the opportunity to prepare in time. Importantly, special camps will be set up in all 294 assembly constituencies of the state to facilitate the application process. The aim is to ensure that no young person is deprived of this scheme due to a lack of information or resources.
How will the application process work?
The application process for the Yuva Sathi Scheme is quite simple. Youth can either apply through the designated online portal or visit their nearest camp to fill out the form. Mobile number verification will be performed during the application process so that further information and updates can reach the beneficiary directly. Following this, personal information, educational details, and bank account details will be filled in.
Several necessary documents will be required for the application. These include an Aadhaar card, a 10th or 12th grade mark sheet, a passport-sized photo, and a photocopy of the bank passbook. Upon submitting the form, an application ID will be generated, which will help track the status of the application. This will ensure transparency and prevent youth from having to repeatedly visit offices.
Which youth are eligible for this scheme?
This scheme is specifically designed for youth who are looking for a job after completing their studies and are currently unemployed. This assistance strengthens them both mentally and financially. When youth have some financial security in their pockets, they can focus on competitive exams, interviews, and skill development with greater confidence.
The True Purpose of the Yuvasathi Scheme

Looking deeper, the Yuvasathi Scheme isn’t just a ₹1,500 scheme. Its true purpose is to provide youth with the time and support they need to become self-reliant. Many youth make poor decisions or become discouraged during times of unemployment. This scheme gives them the assurance that the government understands their struggle and stands with them.
