Nissan Compact MPV: Hello friends! If you’re looking for a car that’s comfortable for long family trips, stylish, and fits your budget, then we have some good news for you. Nissan is soon preparing to launch its new Compact MPV 2026 in the Indian market. This model will be especially appealing to those who want practicality, space, and design all in one. Importantly, this car will share its design and space with the Renault Triber, but it will also have its own distinct Nissan identity.
New Buzz in the Indian MPV Segment

Nissan has spotted this Compact MPV for the first time during testing in India. This clearly indicates that a new wave is coming to the MPV segment. This model is being developed in collaboration with Renault-Nissan and is built on the Renault Triber platform. Just like the Kiger and Magnite are badge-engineered versions of each other, this will also enter the market with a new identity.
According to reports, the company may launch it by the end of 2025 or the beginning of 2026. After its launch, this car will attract customers in the Indian market who want a 7-seater family car with better mileage and low maintenance costs.
New Look in Exterior Design
Although the car was completely covered during testing, the spy shots have revealed some interesting aspects of its design. The front will look different from the Triber. It will feature a larger grille, hexagonal inserts, and newly designed headlights that will give it a stylish and premium look.
C-shaped design accents are visible on the front bumper, reflecting Nissan’s new design language. Additionally, new alloy wheels and functional roof rails further enhance its sporty look. Minor changes may be seen at the rear, especially in the rear bumper, although this is not yet clear as that part was concealed in the pictures. Interior and Space
Nissan cars have always been known for their comfort and space, and the Compact MPV 2026 will be no different. It is expected to feature three rows of seating, similar to the Triber, making it a perfect car for families of 6 to 7 people.
The company may offer a new dashboard design with a premium touch, a large infotainment system, and improved storage space. Rear AC vents and smart features are also expected.
Engine and Performance
Although the company has not yet shared details about the engine, it is expected to be powered by a 1.0-liter petrol engine, similar to the one used in the Renault Triber and Nissan Magnite. This engine will be capable of producing approximately 72-100 bhp of power and offer good fuel efficiency. Both 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options may be available, allowing customers to choose the model that suits their needs.
Price and Launch Timeline

The company may launch it in the Indian market in the last months of 2025 or early 2026. In terms of price, this car is expected to be offered in the same price range as the Triber, i.e., between ₹6.5 lakh and ₹9 lakh (ex-showroom). This will make it a strong competitor to cars like the Maruti Ertiga and Hyundai Exter.
The Nissan Compact MPV 2026 could be a great option for the Indian market, especially for those who want to enjoy comfort, style, and performance on long journeys with their families. Built on the reliable platform of the Renault Triber, this car will certainly be a strong contender in terms of space, design, and features.
If you are planning to buy a practical and modern MPV in the coming year, this new offering from Nissan could be a perfect choice for you.
